Contact Lens Exam what to expect….

If you are a contact lens wearer try to bring in your old contact lens boxes or previous contact lens and eyeglass prescription. Whether you are a new contact lens wearer or if you have worn contacts in the past, we will thoroughly examine your eyes and determine which contact lenses will work best for you and your lifestyle.

Contact lens examinations at CECC include:

• A FREE eyeglass exam, prescription and eye health exam.It is important as a contact lens wearer to always have a back up pair of current eyeglasses!
• An initial fitting of your contact lenses
• One-on-one class to make sure you feel comfortable inserting and removing your contact lenses. We take the time to make sure you know how to appropriately care for you contact lenses
• A FREE trial pair of contact lenses
• Any follow up visits that are needed to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your contact lens prescription (within 45 days of the initial exam date)

How do I know if my child is ready to wear Contact Lenses…

One of the first things you need to ask yourself is…

• Is my child responsible?
• Can I be sure that my child will follow the Doctor’s instructions of how to take care for his/her contacts and eye health?

You know your child’s level of responsibility best. Of course the Doctor will evaluate your child to see if he/she is ready to wear contact lenses. But if you do not believe your child is ready, it is best to wait until your child can handle the responsibilities that come with being a contact lens wearer.
